Looking to build the Waymo of the Seas? We have the infrastructure you need to prove your maritime system is ready to sail.
If you are looking to accelerate your TLR and MLR paths for autonomous maritime systems, we are here to help.
The rapid advancement of Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs) and Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) holds significant potential for enhancing maritime operations, including national security, search and rescue, and environmental monitoring. However, the development and deployment of these technologies are hindered by the lack of dedicated maritime test ranges. These ranges are essential for conducting comprehensive testing and validation of UUVs and USVs in realistic maritime environments, ensuring their reliability, safety, and effectiveness.
The Lake Superior Test Range (LSTR) consists of testing and monitoring infrastructure to accelerate the Technical Readiness Level (TRL) of new autonomous UUV and USV platforms. The infrastructure includes surface, lakebed, and shore-based sensors to validate hardware and software performance under a range of conditions across Lake Superior. Dedicated recovery resources are included in the test range in the event a UUV or USV experiences a systems loss event. Additionally, shore-based laboratories, warehousing, and manufacturing facilities are available to facilitate rapid platform iteration.
We provide testing infrastructure for autonomous maritime platforms used across the commercial and defense ecosystems.
